Ingredients | Besan (Chick pea flour 56%), Semolina, Sugar powder, Salt, Citric acid (E330), Sodium Bicarbonate [E500(ii)], Asafoetida, Turmeric and Sodium Acetate (E262) |
Instructions | Blend 30 ml with 235ml water. Pour into khaman dhokla mix gradually. Blend very gently with minimum stirring. Pour batter into baking tray greased with oil. Steam on high flame for 15 minutes. Remove and allow to cool for 10 minutes and cut into 5cm cubes or wedges. Heat 2 tablespoon oil and add 1 tablespoon mustard seeds. When crackling starts add a pinch of asafoetida powder and 1 tablespoon sesame seeds then turn off the gas. Spread evenly over the Khaman dhokla pancake.Sprinkle 2 tablespoon of each, fresh grated coconut and coriander leaves. Serve with green chutney. |
